Phase-2-Perspectives Retreat

From 11 until 13 December 2024 the project leaders of the research unit convened to review the first years of the collaboration, to assess the achieved goals and to plan future science projects, strategic justification and research synergies. A promising basis for the proposal for phase 2 of the research unit was found.

Materials of the meeting can be found at this dedicated repository.

Artistic visualisation of a jetted active galactic nucleus. A spinning supermassive black hole accretes surrounding matter from a disk- or torus-like radiating structure. Fractions of the accreted energy as well as rotational energy from the central black hole are extracted and funnelled into bipolar relativistic jets.
